The Well's gorgeous landscape provides the perfect habitat for a beautiful and diverse community of birds. Join us as we celebrate the arrival of spring by tuning into the sights and sounds of our feathered friends. Being aware of the rich bird life around us can greatly enrich our experience of nature, wherever we are.

Join us for this "Birding Workshop" as we are offering the following:

Day Workshop Saturday, May 8th from 9:00 – 4:00 PM.

$45, includes lunch and guided bird walks.

The workshop will begin Saturday morning at 9:00 AM in the Chapel. We will learn to identify our resident birds and seasonal migrating visitors by sight and sound. Then the group will divide into two groups and venture outdoors for a guided bird walk across the meadows and through the woods.

Lunch is served at noon, followed by a second guided bird walk, or time to explore the birds on your own. The group will gather from 3:30PM - 4:00 PM for the closing circle, sharing the sights and sounds of the day.

Participants should bring binoculars if possible. Bird guides and song identification apps are helpful but not required.

This birding adventure will be led by fellow bird enthusiasts Jane Motsinger, Well of Mercy staff member, Virginia Perry and Catherine Wandell, long-time guests and volunteers of Well.

We understand that things may come up in your busy life that prevents you from attending as planned. Day Program Cancellation Policy - We regret that reservations for day workshops are non-refundable. In these cases we will consider your payment a donation to our on-going ministry. You may sell or gift to a friend.
